Control and Security

Only people you need to have access should have access.

Threats to your systems come from many sources. Malicious programs like viruses, spy ware and external intruders are one aspect of security. The other threats come from within, your own staff, the way they use your systems and information.

Security starts at the top

Security is as much a culture as a set of processes and safe guards.

Security ranges from physical access to equipment through to software control and access.

Exercise control

Let people who need access have access, restrict access for those who have no need.

Make use of the control built in to your operating systems, define a security policy.

Disaster Recovery

To many businesses leave DR to chance, you should have

    • a DR plan
    • regularly practice the plan
    • regularly review your plan

Many businesses fall short here, don't let it be you.
