Jargon is a serious hazard, we try to avoid it.

However we have to use some "jargon" occasionally, here are some short short definitions in our context.


Information - The process of informing. Facts told or heard or discovered.

Systems - Set of connected things or parts that form a whole or work together.

Communication - The exchange of information between individuals.

Solutions – a package of products and services that are brought together to meet your needs.

Business - A commercial enterprise - Occupation, Profession, Trade.  Profit and cash flow are key measures of success.

Infrastructure - The basis of an enterprise, formed by subordinate parts or installations.

Effective – getting the desired results.

Efficient – achieving the desired result with minimum resources.

CRM - Customer Relationship Management - (the industry way of stating the obvious). Customers are key to any business and how you respond and treat them will determine your success.

Project Management - co-ordinating and managing activities towards a specified result. This is not just a process; you need to know what you are doing to ensure succss.
